Faithfulness
Yvonne came back from Japan and Korea finally! :)
We went for a short cell lunch today since cell started late today!
Just some pictures of our cluster time and lunch!

can u see the funny thing in this picture? Go figure! :)

I think we might just look as if we have a new cell member... Miss Burger King with a burger king face! :p
Today in cell we learnt about God's faithfulness and our need to be faithful towards God. In
2Sam 11:1-5 we see that God is not blind to the sins of even the thought righteous King David. King David chose to turn his faithfulness away from God by sinning against Him - sleeping with a married woman - breaking His laws in His word. According to Lev 20:10 (in the earlier ancient days) God promised that
" If a man commits adultery with another man's wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death." Upon judgment, God sent Nathan to rebuke King David's sins -
2Sam12:7-14 and placed judgment to Him that the son born to him will die. King David was remorseful and finally asked God for forgiveness.
However, there was
GRACE upon King David.
But David sinned again with the part about the census...
It was only when King David
acknowledges his sins and asked for sincere forgiveness and offered sacrificed offerings (in the olden times before Christ was sent, only burnt offerings to the Lord signifies sincere confession and acknowledging of sins. every one sin = one offering)
2Sam24:17-25We also learnt about God's judgment even on His beloved children (
2Kings) where He will also send others to place judgment on them when they sin against Him. But there will still be
grace and love for the promises He made to his children (example: the covenant He gave King David to remain His descendants)
God reminds us not to be unfaithful to Him and to remain in Him (John 15) and to remain in His word (John15:7). But how do we remain in Him? (John 15:4 "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.")
By remaining in His word for He was with God and The word was God
John1:1-2.
Application!1. To read His word and to do Quiet Time regularly - approximately 5-15mins a day
(morning before we start our day, mid or evening before our homework session or before we sleep, end our day)
2. To read John 15 Question to think about before the next cell time:"What do you hope to achieve or learn or gain, at the end of this year from this heartbeat cell?" "What is considered a successful heartbeat cell?"See ya next cell time! :)
